Just let everyone know what you liked about the book you read. Share parts of the book that you think would get your classmates excited to read your recommended book. I recommend the book "Because of Winn-Dixie". It's about a girl named Opal and her dad or "the preacher" moving from Watley, Florida, to Naomi, Florida. She finds a dog-Winn Dixie-and that dog makes Opal's first summer a whole lot better. If you love adventures, you'll love this book.
I devoured the book "Clementine". It's a story about a mischievious girl named Clementine, and she's not having a good week. She cut off Margaret's hair, she cut off her own hair, and all this other crazy stuff. This book will make you laugh out loud. If you like things that are hilarious, you'll love this book!
I liked the Encyclopedia of Animals becuse it has a lot of cool facts.like did you that you can tell a whale buy its blow, and eagles can kill monkeys.
"Swamp Monster in third grade" is a great book. It is about a swamp monster that came out of the swamp and went into a trash can. He saw some carrots and ate them and he tried some suntan lotion. He got dizzy and fell on the ground. If you like that, you will love this story.
"The Fight of the White Wolf" is a good book. It is about a boy that finds a wolf that is really dangerous, but in a way he is not dangerous. They became really good friends. They go on a adventure together. People are trying to kill the wolf becasue he is so dangerous. My favorite part was when the boy swam under a flock of geese on the lake and grabbed one.
I read a great action packed page turner called "The Invention of Hugo Caberet." Even though it is 522 pages, I read it in three days (lots of pictures). It is about a boy that is 12 years old and lives in the walls of a train station. It takes place right after WW1 in Paris. Hugo builds a mechanical man that writes a letter that becomes important later in the book. Hugo and his friend, Isabelle, find out a series of mysteries. It is a must read!
I think that "Bridge to Terabithia" is a good book because it is about a girl and a boy.The girls name is Leslie and the boys name is Jess they are good friends.They made a make believe world. Hope you read it!!
I recommend a book called The good dog its a great book! The whole book was great it was probably the BEST book I've ever read. The dog is telling the story and from the dogs perspective. I think it was a great book!
I like "National Geographic" magazines. They are very intresting and they have a lot of cool facts. They are fun to read and they have cool pictures and diffrent subjects like dinasours or global warming. You should get your mom or dad to order them. You get one every month of the year.
"I,Coriander" is a great book. It's probably realistic fiction. Anyway, it's about a girl named Coriander. Eleanor was born with a fairy spirit which her stepmother Queen Rosmore wants. (Eleanor is Coriander's mother's name.) READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just finished reading "The Invention Of Hugo Cabret". It's about a twelve year old boy named Hugo Cabret, who lives in the walls of a train station in Paris, France. Even though the book has 522 pages only 285 of those pages have words. The rest of the pages have pictures. This book just won the Caldecott award. This book was probably the best book I ever read.I recomend this book very highly.
I recommed the book A land without Magic because Rit stixby is living the normal life of a wizard at the eton magical academy - creating magical whirlwinds to entertain his friends and training pens to wright his homework- when he recives the terible news that his old archenemy, Stafford Sparks, has escaped from prison. Feeling for his life Kit finds himself in the strage land of Callalabasa with Henery, Kits bestfriend and queen Victoia's favorite grandson to attend young king Eugens coronation. MAgic is forbiden in Callalabasa as the towns people are terified of it, but Kit despretly needs his powers: Enchanters on black stallions ride in the night,a prisnor of unfathomable power lurks in the dungeon, and henrys oun bodyguard seems absolutely sinister. by: BJ

I recommend the book "Ulysses Moore the Door to Time" its a great book. It is about two twins Jason and Julia and there friend Rick. They find a secret note then they find a door and it has four key holes. They want to find the keys so you need to find out if they get throu the door or not. Read the book I bet you'll love it. Find out what adventures they run into.
I like the book Dark Wing by Kenneth Oppel because it is not plain old fiction. It is almost non fiction because it says that it takes place 65 million years ago. It is a book about the life of a prehistoric bats called Chiropters.
The main character is of the few who is beginning to evolve into bats as we know them. He can fly and see in the dark, but the rest of his colony is shunning him because they think he is a freak. In the end some of them learn that his powers are valuable.
Here is a little snippet; "The creature was half his size,but looked uncannily like a chiropter. "It's only a soricid," whispered Sol. Probably scared witless. Shrill peeps came from the holes we had spotted earlier. "Shhhh, we won't hurt you!"
I think that "Mrs. Cooney is loony" it is very good because this kid named A.J and his friends are trying to find out if their school nurse is really a spy!
I think that "Ms. Lagrange is strange!"it is very weird because the y get a new lunch lady (the other one quit!)her name is Ms.Lagrange she is from France she makes French mashed potatoes and a lot more! hope you read it! bookworm
I read "The Call of the Wild." It is a great/sad book about a dog named Buck who was stolen because there was a gold rush up north. People needed dogs to pull sleds up to Canada and Alaska. After Buck was stolen, he was "trained" and learned very quickly. Right after he was stolen, Buck was sold to a mean master.READ the book to find out what happened to him next !!
I recommend the book "The Gift of the Magi". It's a really, really, really short story about Della & Jim. Since it's so short, I won't say anything more. All I have to say is: READ THE BOOK!
I just read the book "The Lightning Thief"by Rick Riordan and LOVED IT!!!!!!! It mixes greek mytholagy in a way you never thought of before. The main character tells the story with sassy comments and amazing suspence. I couldn't put it down!!! I cann't wait for the next book...
I just finished the book Needle and Thread. It's about two girls who live in a small town called Camden Falls. There parents had died and now they live with there grandma named Min. Gion them as they go through sad, happy, exciting and nourvous times.
I just finished reading Ivy and Bean Break the Fossil Record. Ivy and Bean are great friends that are seven years old and alike in some ways but unlike in others. This is the third book in the series.
I've finished Romeo & Juliet Together (and Alive) At Last! It's when Peter Saltz and Anabell Stackpoole prepare for the school play, Romeo & Juliet. When Saltz's best friend, Ed Sitrow, wants him to be in the play, they read Romeo & Juliet in social studies class. But Ed Sitrow doesn't want Saltz to be in any of the kissing scenes.
I just read a book called "Phone Home Persephone!". I finished it in one day because I was so into it. For all of you who like greek mythology you probly know the story of Hades and Persephone by heart right? Well what I like about this book is that it's one of those books that take a story or a myth that you know so well and switch it around. I recomend this to every body.
The book "Fablehaven" is a AWESOME book in my opinion. It is about a very obedient girl named Kendra and a very impulsive boy named Seth. They are brother and sister. The story is about how they get their eye's opened to a magical land of beasts, fairys, water nymfs, sprites and more. but one day, when everything goes wrong, they must find it within themselves the save Fablehaven.
I LOVED the book "The Dragon of Lonely Island." It is SUCH a good book. The book is about three children; Hannah, the oldest of the three(The First Awake); Zachary, the only boy; and Sarah Emily, the youngest(The Last Awake). This book is also about a tridrake*; Fafnyr Goldenwings; the children's great-aunt Aunt Mehitabel,and many more. This book has three seperate stories that the tridrake tells.
Here's a snippit: The dragon inclined its golden head. "Why," it said, "I thought you knew. For heaven's sake, child, use your head!" Sarah Emily thought for a moment and suddenly her eyes opened wide. "Hitty!" she said. "It's a nick-name for Mehitabel. Hitty is Aunt Mehitabel!" I hope you read this book!
I recommend the book Emmy and dthe incredible shrinking Rat. It is an awesome book What I liked about it was when the were playing Paw ball! This is the book the auther showed us. If you like Adventures and types of books like this I would Recommend it!
